Dr. Khan is an Assistant Professor at OU and Director of Social Media Analytics Research Team (SMART) Lab.
His research is in the area of data analytics, digital inequality, Internet branding, and social media engagement. Khan has extensive professional experience as a social media strategist consulting for various organizations in the United States and other countries. He is regularly involved in empirical research projects and has authored and co-authored several journal articles and book chapters, and presented at major conferences of international repute in the field of business, education, media, and communication.

My role as an educator derives its greatest strength from the realization that I can make a positive difference in the lives of others. I can contribute by helping create a nurturing environment for students, which leads to innovation and critical thinking. My approach to teaching reflects my experiences with my own teachers and mentors, as well as my belief that classrooms provide unique sites to explore emerging ideas.
